Pest Control Technician Josh Bates is celebrating after achieving his Level 3 Award in Pest Management from the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH).
The Level 3 qualification shows a deeper understanding of vertebrate and invertebrate pest biology, behaviours and control methods. Assessment is done through four written assignments – two on vertebrate pests (mice, rats, foxes, pigeons, etc.) and two on invertebrate pests (wasps, cockroaches, bed bugs, etc.) – and one written exam. The course also covers legislation, health and safety and environmental issues.
Josh explains: “This qualification helps me to provide the highest level of service to our customers and equips me with the skills to ensure work is carried out to the highest standards in a safe and efficient way. Customers want to be sure they are receiving the highest quality work from us and can trust the advice I give. With the Level 3 qualification, I can be sure I am telling them the right things while working safely and responsibly.”
Managing Director Paul Bates added: “Staff development has always been important to Cleankill. These qualifications are not only a great way to build trust in our brand, but they are also a good way to enhance the knowledge and expertise of our technicians and surveyors. As employees continue on their career path, maybe even transitioning to surveyor from technician, we can be sure they will have the right information to confidently advise clients on their pest control needs, ensuring we start our relationship with the client in the right way.”
Josh is just the latest Cleankill employee to receive his Level 3 certificate. It is this dedication to personal development that means Cleankill now has one of the most highly qualified teams of pest control technicians in the country.
